Photography for National Education
We all love to take pictures, especially the young and the youth. It is however, not easy for students to understand the concept or importance of National Education.
At Singapore Photographers, we have worked with many schools to use e-journalism, scrap booking, professional photography and photojournalism as a platform and a channel to enable students to discover National Education Topics through the work of pictures and photojournalism.
We have organised shows, exhibitions at community centres, schools and shopping centres to share important messages like nation building, racial harmony and defence with our fellow Singaporeans.

-Racial Harmony Exhibition at Yuhua Sec School
This year's photography exhibition theme is "Joint Hope and Shared Memories." Our Secondary 3 Students came together and attended a Professional Photography/ PhotoJournalism Course and worked on a photo project that will represent the theme.
The course ended with an exhbition of the students'work as part of the Racial Harmony Day Celebration.
Course Outline
Through Photography, we hope to provide students with a different approach in learning about National Education Issues through our series of Photography-related curriculum.
Summary
Through Photography, PhotoJournalism, students will work go fully hands on in creating their own photo project for National Education.. Trainers will also teach students how to present their work professionally and set up their own exhibition space.
What will students learn?
- Students can choose from E-Journalism, Digital Photography, Photo Journalism and Photo Scrapbooking to create a photo project relevant to a chose National Education theme,
- Students will learn about PhotoJournalism writing skills, research and how to relate their photos to a chosen theme and create a photo project.
