Education Through Photography

ABOUT US

“The important thing is not the camera but the eye.” – Alfred Eisenstaedt

Singapore Photographers' mission is to use Professional Photography & Journalism as a tool and a platform for active learning. We want to engage people to think and express themselves creatively and out of the box!

Singapore Photographers was founded by an exclusive group of former journalists, photographers and film makers who have lived, studied and worked all over the world from New York, San Francisco to France, but now returned to Singapore to spread their love for photography. We provide photography workshops and programmes for organisations and schools. Contact us today for a teambuilding proposal or a programme customised for your school.

Our programmes and trainers are approved and endorsed by National Arts Council under the Arts Education Programme (AEP). Some Testimonials from Teachers and Students

On E-Journalism & PhotoJournalism

“This [e-journalism] is interactive and very hands on. it engages the students and challenges them to think about different issues. It’s not like lecturing something where it’s quite easy to just sit back and not really being able to pay that much attention."

"[Students] get hands on experience on video production, editing and [journalism skills] like writing, reporting. The time frame of the course is appropriate and students are able to apply these skills during their learning journey."

Ms Ho, Teacher of Teck Whye Primary School

Everyone is involved and engaged with what’s going on. I think it’s really important because people lose concentration very quickly. So it’s really important to keep people interested and definitely the course does that.”
